A man, Ezekiel Oluwafemi, has been arraigned before a Badagry Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State over allegations of defrauding a couple of ₦4 million, according to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Police prosecutors told the court on Monday that the alleged offence occurred between May 2024 and July 2025 in the #Iragon community, Badagry.

Presenting the case, ASP Edet Ekpo informed the court that the defendant allegedly obtained the sum from Mr and Mrs Patrick Ogbade under the guise of assisting them to purchase livestock and invest in the cultivation of yam and cassava.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.

In his ruling, the presiding Magistrate, Mr Nurudeen Layeni, granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦1 million, with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned until February 19, 2026, for further hearing.
