Residents of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) are being invited to attend a free community health outreach taking place today at the Ganyingbo-Age Community.

The medical outreach, scheduled for Tuesday, 30 December 2025, will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is being organised by Lagos State Health District V in collaboration with Badagry West LCDA. Officials say the initiative is aimed at improving access to essential healthcare services for residents across the council area.

According to the organisers, the outreach will offer a range of free medical services, including general medical screening, blood pressure and blood glucose checks, eye screening with the provision of corrective glasses, as well as basic dental screening.

Residents from all communities and wards within #BadagryWest LCDA have been encouraged to participate, regardless of location, as part of broader efforts to promote preventive healthcare and early detection of health conditions.

Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Chairman of Badagry West LCDA, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren, described preventive healthcare as a core priority of his administration and urged residents to turn out in large numbers to take advantage of the free services.

Local officials say the outreach reflects the ongoing commitment of both the Lagos State Government and Badagry West LCDA to improving the health and wellbeing of residents, particularly at the community level.

The programme is holding at the Ganyingbo-Age Community, with residents advised to arrive early to allow for proper registration and smooth coordination of services.
